We advocate that students should be familiar with and master scientific language expression by writing animal and plant observation diaries; apply mathematics by planning feeding space and calculating feed ratios; stimulate their own creativity by recording life forms and designing publicity posters; and finally transform their own labor results into social values, and understand labor such as How to create value.
Reptile breeding projects naturally have interdisciplinary attributes, which require the comprehensive use of multidisciplinary knowledge such as biology, chemistry and physics to provide a good living environment for reptiles and hone patience and concentration.
The course ultimately points to the awe and responsibility of life, as well as the awareness of ecological protection. All living individuals on earth have their reasons for existence, but with the threat of factors such as habitat loss and illegal trade, many animals face survival crisis, including reptiles. We let students recognize biodiversity through close-up understanding and contact with such uncommon animals, and plant the seeds of ecological protection in their hearts.
This is a project-based learning with a complete educational closed-loop design, and it is also a bridge between knowledge and reality, learning and life. The project lasts for up to two months, covering the whole cycle of most vegetables from seeds to maturity.
